Workpiece marking

Your advantages at a glance:

  • With our laser cutters, we can mark cut metal parts with the component number or product number, entirely according to customer requirements. Laser cutting quickly takes care of the marking process and considerably reduces the risk of mix-ups with similar parts.
  • Not all products can be marked directly due to their shape, dimensions and/or quantity. If requested by the customer, Modersohn can combine such items into small packaging units and mark them with adhesive labels either on the box or as a bundle.
  • Thanks to Modersohn's authorisation to re-stamp stainless steel components, we can supply your components with standard-compliant marking in accordance with the works test certificate of the source material - see our "Authorisation to re-stamp" certificate below.
We can provide laser inscription with alphanumeric data on all key production components,
... no more mix-ups or identification problems!

Re-stamping of stainless steel for safety-relevant products

For products that require construction authority approval, we are now also certified to separately stamp each individual product manufactured from cut-to-size parts in compliance with works test certificate 2.2 and/or inspection certificates 3.1 and 3.2 as specified in DIN EN 10204:2005-01.

Customers can specify this service separately when submitting their order or enquiry.

Embossed marking on stainless steel products

Needle embossing is a relatively gentle and effective method of applying markings to metal surfaces. The surface of stainless steel products is not roughened, rather it is displaced/compressed by a fine needle tip, which oscillates at high frequency.

We have a needle marking machine that is capable of producing permanent texts and logos quickly and precisely covering an area of 50 x 100 mm.
