Restructuring provides greater transparency

The new sales departments at Modersohn

The increasingly complex areas of activity and the very specialised applications of our products have made a restructuring of our company necessary in order to maintain our high standards of customer care. The renaming of our sales departments, the organisational separation of the department for fastening technology products and the formation of a new sales department for special fastenings together mean that our sales operations are now clearly structured according to specialist areas.

Defying the crisis with innovations

Despite a difficult economic situation worldwide, Modersohn GmbH & Co. KG is still expanding.

Our company has always been very flexible and creative in order to respond immediately to changes in market requirements. In the fields of customer support and order processing, we place great importance on continuity and reliability vis-à-vis our customers. Our long-serving staff know our customers' requirements precisely. With their experience and specialist knowledge they are able to familiarise themselves very quickly with the products required and the project planning.

Pioneering work pays off
One year after the launch of lean duplex stainless steel
(DIBt-approved, Z-30.3-19)
We presented it in our first newsletter: the material 1.4362 (D4) languished in the development archive of a Swedish steel manufacturer for years - deemed too complicated and too expensive to produce. But now, new production processes have enabled its optimised manufacture. Interest in the new lean duplex stainless steel has exploded since it was first presented at the beginning of 2006.

The introduction of "lean duplex steel" is undoubtedly a milestone - and that is no exaggeration. So we are proud that it was Modersohn who paved the way for the national technical approval of this material.

Modersohn GmbH invests in a new material.
For years this material lay dormant in the development archive of a Swedish steel manufacturer, but now we are the first company in Germany to obtain approval from the Institute for Construction Technology (DIBt) in Berlin for its "use in fastenings for wall façades": Lean duplex steel Mat.No. 1.4362.
